Explaining the Micro Photography Contest
The microscopic photography contest by NAT PHOTO SOCIETY seeks all photographers willing to try their hands at small-world photography. Tune in.
For those thinking about the question “What is micro photography?” Let us explain so that you can explore the theme to their best camera capacity. It is the capturing of small images through microphotography lenses. Photographers, it is the time to blur the boundaries between science and art, by capturing detailed images of small subjects. Click everything that belongs to the miniature domain, from nature micro photography to micro portraits. Master those close-up shots of cool insects, unseen patterns or textures, pine needles, spider webs, tree bark, etc. Craft stories on small objects and share them with us in this photography contest on micro.
Determination of Winners
Our jury members decide the winners of this prestigious photography contest. While this is a broad theme, the jury would still like to welcome all creative takes on the theme.
Image Specifications
Submit your best micro photography shots and make sure your pictures adhere to the following guidelines:

Your image must be original and cannot come from any stock photos.

You can use any device including your smartphone to click the images.

You must own all images submitted, or you should have the right to represent them on behalf of the photographer.

Your submissions may have copyright symbols, watermarks, names, or logos but they must be faint and not hinder the jurying process.

All images must be in JPG or JPEG format with a minimum quality of (90%) or higher.

Make sure to resize your pictures to 1000 pixels on the longest dimension.

All files must be less than 2 MB.

If the images don't alter their content, you can make basic adjustments to them. For example, adjusting contrast, exposure, dust removal, etc., is acceptable.

Do not make adjustments by adding or removing an element from the image.

We only accept bleed photographs except for polaroids or other processes that make borders an inherent part of the image.

You have the widest bounds to interpret the category of this creative photo contest in your creative way.
Prize and Awards
Explore “What is microphotography?” in your creative way! The winners of this contest shall be awarded cash prizes of up to $500.
First Prize - Up to $100 cash, Certificate of Recognition, and Promotions on social media
Runners-ups - Up to $75 cash, Certificate of Recognition, and Promotions on social media
Merit Award - Up to $ 50 cash, Certificate of Recognition, and Promotions on social media
Talent Award - Up to $25 cash, and Certificate of Recognition
Honorable Mention Award - Certificate of Recognition
Finalist Award - Certificate of Recognition
Entry Fee
The entry fee for each image in this microphotography contest varies from $4-$10 based on the number of entries made. For the maximum number of entries made, each image only costs $4 to enter. This is a non-refundable fee. The breakdown is as follows:

$10 for 1 photo - $10/entry
$25 for up to 3 photos - $8.33/entry
$35 for up to 5 photos - $7/entry
$45 for up to 7 photos - $6.43/entry
$50 for up to 10 photos - $5/entry
$90 for up to 20 photos - $4.50/entry
$100 for up to 25 photos - $4/entry

To enter more than 25 photos, you can simply repeat the submission process.

* Cash prizes are always sent via PayPal by direct bank transfer. If a recipient doesn’t have a PayPal account, they can create one HERE.
** Depending on the quality and quantity of submissions, additional finalists will be awarded certificates of recognition for each category.
